How to force HTTPS using the .htaccess file

Simply enter this code on your .htaccess file in the website root.

# Force HTTPS
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.example.com/$1 [R,L]

 

On a website created in a sub-folder, for example folder “/folder/”, use this:
# Force HTTPS
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} folder
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.example.com/folder/$1 [R,L]

Install free SSL at your domains

* INSTALL SSL ONLY AT YOUR OWN DOMAIN NAME. YOU CANNOT USE OR INSTALL SSL AT OUR TEMPORARY SUB-DOMAIN

Just follow the steps below:

  1. Log into cPanel of your hosting;
  2. Find the ‘Security’ box and click the icon “Let’s Encrypt SSL”;
  3. The system will list all the active domains on your hosting. At right of each domain you will see a “+ Issue” option. Click and follow screen instructions. Unset all email SSL options, as we provide email services outside cPanel.

After few seconds, you will be able to access your domain with “https://”

The easiest method to access your emails is using the Webmail.
To access it, just click this link https://webmail.freehosting.host/

 

EMAIL SETTINGS

if you prefer to use a local email reader, like Outlook or similar, you will need to configure it. We use all standards ports and names at our email servers, here are the details:

  • IMAP: imap.freehosting.host – port 143
  • POP: pop.freehosting.host – port 110
  • SMTP: smtp.freehosting.host – port 587
  • TLS authentication without certificate verification

 

ALTERNATE EMAIL SETTINGS

You can also access using your own domain at URLs, but the webmail access will have no encryption, it is not recommended.

  • WEBMAIL: http://webmail.your_domain.com
  • IMAP: imap.your_domain.com – port 143
  • POP: pop.your_domain.com – port 110
  • SMTP: smtp.your_domain.com – port 587
  • TLS authentication without certificate verification
